THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED

CITY COUNCIL MEETING FOR

JUNE 16, 2026, HAS BEEN CANCELED

 DUE TO ONGOING OFFICE REPAIRS.

City Hall Closure: June 8th – June 15th

Public Notice: Temporary City Hall Office Closure

June 8 – June 15, 2026

Grand Coulee City Hall will be temporarily closed to the public from Monday, June 8th through Monday, June 15th.

Our main office is undergoing a necessary building improvement project, including asbestos abatement, new carpet installation, and the re-assembly of our workstations and equipment. We realize this disruption may be an inconvenience—trust us, we know! We are incredibly eager to put this project behind us and welcome you back into a clean, newly renovated space (hopefully for longer than six months this time around!).

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these updates. Please review the important details below regarding utility payments, deadlines, and service adjustments during the closure.

🏛️ Municipal Utility Payments & Deadlines

  • Late Fees: Late fees will still be assessed on past-due accounts on June 1st as usual.
  • Extended Shutoff Date: To accommodate the closure, the utility shutoff date has been extended from June 12th to Thursday, June 18th.
  • Payment Drop Box: The physical drop box at City Hall remains available for payments. However, please note that payments will not be processed or posted to accounts until staff returns to the office on June 16th.

⚡ PUD Payments

If you typically drop off your Public Utility District (PUD) payment at City Hall:

  • You may still use our outdoor drop box (keeping in mind it won’t be posted until we return).
  • Alternatively, you can contact the Grant County PUD directly to make a secure payment over the phone or through their online portal to ensure immediate processing.

Spring Clean Update

We are still coming for your yard debris!

Thank you to everyone who participated in annual Spring Clean-Up. We are aware that vegetation debris remains curbside and has not yet been collected. Unfortunately, our collection vehicle experienced some unexpected maintenance and we are awaiting necessary parts to be up and running again.

Rest assured we will come around and get all of your yard waste just as soon as we can.

City Hall Exterior Painting Project

The City of Grand Coulee invites qualified contractors to submit a quote for the professional painting and refresh of the City Hall building located at 306 Midway Ave in Grand Coulee. The footprint square footage is 4,709. Site visits are welcome with notice. The objective is to achieve a professional, durable finish that updates the aesthetic of the building while maintaining high standards of quality. The project must adhere to Washington State prevailing wage requirements.

Section A: Surface Preparation & Technical Specs

To ensure the longevity of the masonry and concrete on the facility, the following steps are mandatory:

  • Cleaning: All surfaces shall be pressure washed to remove dirt, mildew, and loose material. Maximum pressure shall not exceed 2,500 PSI to prevent damage to the concrete substrate.
  • Scraping & Patching: Contractors must manually scrape any remaining peeling paint. Any cracks or voids in the masonry must be filled with a high-quality exterior masonry caulk or patching compound compatible with the final coating.
  • Masking: All windows, door hardware, light fixtures, and signage must be fully masked or protected. The City Hall entrance and walkways must remain accessible or be clearly marked if temporary closures are needed.
  • Paint Specifications:
